within the maze of
your chaotic emotions.
I seek escape the

only way I know –
a little white pill chased by
a small paper cup.

the gravity of

the gaseous cloud of loathing
emanating from

coronal mass ejections,
battering the shield

of protection built
around the inner part of
me, reflecting back

into the black void
as your breath, like a solar
wind pushes the words

forward again, to
drive against the edge of my
soul, breaking it down

until I can no
longer stand against the force
of you. I am ripped

apart as the heat
of your words scorches through me,
setting me on fire.

Satellites circle.
a gas giant,
a shining, diamond-studded landscape,
a vibrant blue
orbiting the Red Giant.

A small, dark rock
on an elliptical orbit
flits in and out of the light.
A Plutonian body
on the periphery.

If I was knocked out of your
orbit would you notice?

No way to stop it.

Butterflies
Worms
Toads
Jumping, writhing, fluttering
Limbs shaking
Thoughts circle
Focusing
On one
Thing

The brain child
digs permanent
ruts, deep
but not buried.
It rises up
And taunts
Me again.
A persistent
Beast trained
By the best.
Me.

Tamed only
By a yellow half-moon
And words of self-loathing

lies a caldera.
Eruption is imminent.
I hide beneath the

cover of placid
prose, but am left cowering
in fear as the dome

breaks open and your
molten interjections spew
forth, releasing a

pyroclastic cloud
that suffocates and buries
me beneath the surge.
